Security Operations Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive

SecOps Engineer

to join our IT Security Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, engineering, and operational reliability of our core enterprise security applications—specifically Vulnerability Management Systems (VMS), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Enterprise Password Managers. You will bridge security engineering and IT operations to minimize identity risks and reduce organizational attack surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• **PAM & Identity Security:**Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise PAM solutions (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea). Manage session monitoring, credential rotation, safe access workflows, and break-glass procedures.
• **Vulnerability Management (VMS):**Operate and optimize automated vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7). Triage scan results, prioritize critical CVEs with IT asset owners, and verify patch validation workflows.
• **Password Management:**Administer the corporate password management platform (e.g., 1Password, Bitwarden, Keeper). Manage onboarding/offboarding syncs, secure sharing policies, and SSO/MFA integrations.
• **Operational Maintenance:**Handle platform upgrades, agent deployments, high-availability monitoring, and disaster recovery testing for managed security applications.
• **Automation & Integration:**Build automated workflows using APIs and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to connect security tools with ticketing systems (Jira/ServiceNow) and SIEM/SOAR platforms.
• **Compliance & Reporting:**Generate regular operational metrics, audit access logs, and produce evidence for compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
• **Incident Support:**Assist the SOC and Incident Response teams with forensic log extraction and immediate access containment during security events.
• **On-Call Duties:**Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical security incidents and platform issues outside regular business hours.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in a SecOps, Systems Administration, or Security Engineering role managing production enterprise platforms.
• Hands-on Tooling: Proven experience administering at least one major PAM solution (CyberArk, BeyondTrust) and one enterprise VMS tool (Qualys, Tenable/Nessus, Rapid7).
• Identity & Access Fundamentals: Deep understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), SAML 2.0, OIDC, RBAC, and Principle of Least Privilege (PoLP).
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for API integrations and routine operational task automation.
• OS & Networking: Solid grasp of Linux/Windows OS administration, TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and TLS/certificate management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CyberArk CDE/Defender, Qualys Certified Specialist, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or SC-300.
• Experience operating security tools within hybrid multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with container security and API-first security integrations.
