Offensive Security Specialist

Our international IT Hub in Sofia, Bulgaria, is growing, and we’re looking for talented individuals to join us in the Offensive Security Specialist position. You’ll be part of an international team, working in a vibrant environment that encourages the exchange of knowledge and ideas both onsite and offsite.

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the operational IT security of PHOENIX group Competence Centre IT & Digital.
• Planning, monitoring, execution and documentation of penetration tests.
• Plan and coordinate penetration tests conducted by external security service providers.
• Analysis of the threat situation as well as coordination of mitigation measures.
• Collaboration with IT Security Stakeholders and Service Providers regarding Information Security.
• Support in the implementation of regulatory requirements (e.g. IT Security Act).
• Continually improve and fine-tune the pen testing process.
• Perform vulnerability scans and accompany/monitor mitigation actions.
• Assist in the tracking and resolution of security incidents.

Your Profile:

• Degree in computer science or training with IT-technical background or comparable professional experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of IT security and in the implementation of IT security measures, qualifications such as OSCP, OSEP etc. are an advantage.
• Experience in the planning and execution of penetration tests.
• Knowledge with cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365), EDR/XDR solutions and security standards (e.g. ISO 27001) is desirable.
• Independent, structured work, analytical skills, service orientation, enjoyment of new technologies and a high willingness to learn, ability to work in a team.
