Описание

Who we are

eFellows is a Sofia-based systems integrator and managed services company, founded in 2004. We design, build, and run critical infrastructure for mid-size and large enterprises and public sector organizations across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. We are around 60 people, 50 of them engineers: big enough to run serious multi-year engagements, small enough that you will never be an anonymous resource on a spreadsheet. Our work spans the full stack of modern infrastructure, from network backbones and data centers up through platforms, security, and observability, all the way to our own AI products running in production.

We are not a body shop, and we are not a startup burning someone else's money. We are a profitable engineering company where the people who build things decide how they get built.

The role

You will join our networking and network security team, the people responsible for the foundational backbone of everything we deliver: data center networking (BGP/EVPN fabrics), WAN, LAN, WiFi, Internet edge, VPNs, SD-WAN, firewalling, NAC. When a bank's core network needs to be rebuilt without downtime, or a logistics company needs a resilient multi-site fabric, this is the team that does it.

What makes this role different from other networking jobs is simple: we are an agentic engineering company. Every engineer at eFellows works with AI agents daily, for design validation, config generation, troubleshooting, documentation, capacity analysis, you name it. We run our own on-premises GPU cluster serving open-weight models. We built and operate a production AIOps platform that handles real customer support calls with AI triage. We encode our engineering knowledge as agent skills, so the whole team gets better every time one person solves a hard problem.

In our view, the network engineer of the next decade is not the one who types configs faster. It is the one who directs fleets of agents to design, validate, deploy, and operate networks, and who has deep enough fundamentals to know when the agent is wrong. That is who we want to hire.

We are also explicit about the stakes. We expect, and deliberately create the conditions for, order-of-magnitude productivity gains. An engineer who masters agentic workflows delivers 10x what the same engineer delivered three years ago, and the ceiling keeps rising. This is what excellence means here, and it is where the compensation comes from. Your pay tracks the leverage you build, not the hours you log.

What you'll do

  • Design, deploy, and operate network and security infrastructure for enterprise clients, working with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, MikroTik, and whatever else the problem actually requires
  • Build AI-augmented workflows for network operations: agent-assisted troubleshooting, automated config validation, intent-driven change management
  • Work on mission-critical environments where "it mostly works" is not an acceptable state
  • Contribute to our internal knowledge base and agent skills, so your solutions become the team's capabilities
  • Consult directly with client IT teams (no end-user support, you talk to engineers)
  • Optional paid on-call rotation

What we're looking for

Technical foundation:

  • Solid routing, switching and networking protocols fundamentals
  • Real understanding of firewalling and network security concepts, not just clicking around a GUI
  • Genuine curiosity about how things work under the hood

The AI-era mindset:

  • You already use AI tools in your work and want to go much deeper: agents, automation, infrastructure as code
  • You treat AI output with engineering skepticism: verify, test, understand
  • You want to build the tooling, not just consume it

Personal:

  • Direct, honest communication. We don't do corporate theater
  • Fluent English (our clients span four continents)
  • Self-driven. Nobody here waits to be told what to learn next
  • Valid driver's license (client sites are real places)

Bonus points:

  • Linux administration
  • Scripting, Coding
  • Experience with IaC, CI/CD, GitOps (Terraform, Argo CD, pipelines)
  • Kubernetes networking exposure
  • CCNA, NSE, PCNSE or equivalent. Certificates are fine, demonstrated skill is better
  • Monitoring and observability experience (Grafana, Prometheus, or similar)

Why eFellows

  • Pace of growth: lean project teams on big projects. You will touch more real infrastructure in a year here than in five years at a large enterprise
  • AI-first environment: on-prem GPU cluster, production AI products, and a culture that expects you to multiply yourself with agents
  • Compensation that follows leverage: base salary plus a transparent bonus system that rewards trust and demonstrated excellence. The productivity you unlock with agents flows back to you, not just to the company
  • Real ownership: you will see projects through from design to production, not one slice of a ticket queue

Don't have years of experience yet? If you genuinely believe you are exceptional, we would love to meet you too. But please respect our time: back that claim with evidence. A personal project, a home lab, an open-source contribution, a certification you pursued on your own, a problem you solved that you are proud of. Anything that shows us how you think and what drives you. We have invested in raw talent before, and it has paid off every time we chose well.
